There is no one who has to be more responsible and more experienced than the Newborn Nurse who you will entrust the care of your baby to. Our Newborn Nurses have the unique ability to come into your home, care for you and your baby and make you feel totally at ease and comfortable with your new arrival. Breast feeding or bottle feeding, your nurse is knowledgeable with both. If you are nursing, she will assist you with all aspects including how to use a breast pump, engorgement, latching on and proper diet. She will take care of all nursery duties including baby’s laundry and changing crib sheets. Bathing the baby and caring for the umbilical cord are also part of her duties.
The newborn nurses will work either a 12 hour or 24 hour shift. Some of our clients have hired a nurse to work 24 hours the first week, then a night or day shift
for several weeks following. According to your due date and the length of time you would like to engage her, your nurse will allow approximately one week to ten days
on either side to guarantee that she will be available when your time comes.
As newborn nurses are often booked months in advance, you should schedule interviews and make arrangements to hire early in your pregnancy.
