Placement Process

Once you qualify to apply with Domestic Affairs Agency, you will fill out our employment application. You can apply on-line, then we will contact you for a personal interview. When you come into the Agency, you must have a detailed history of your past employment (names, addresses and telephone numbers of former employers) and your personal identification, including driver’s license, social security and proof of legal work authorization. It is helpful if you have a resume and letters of reference.

Based on your criteria for a new position, we match you up with families that meet your needs. We provide you with details about the family and what they are looking for in a nanny.

We schedule interviews and follow up with feedback from the families. If both parties are interested, we arrange second interviews and trial days. When you are offered a position, we assist you in finalizing the details.

Domestic Affairs will provide the family with your DMV printout, social security verification and criminal background check.

The first week is a trial week for both you and the family. We are in contact with you during this time to determine if you and the family are interested in continuing employment.
